Our online gardening courses are ideal for any young person interested in learning how to grow their own vegetables, flowers and fruit for their skills requirement of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. This is a fully supported, affordable, home based course, accessible to all, it is designed to engage and inspire participants whilst caring for the environment and teaching an invaluable life skill.

How does it work?

Upon booking you will be assigned an online tutor who will also be your DofE assessor.

They will sign off completed sessions, monthly reports and complete the online tutor assessment report at the end of the course.

What is provided?

We’ll provide you with worksheets, written and visual support materials , reporting forms and online support.

Materials and equipment is provided by the student.

What help will I get?

Your tutor is available to answer any questions you may have about your worksheets and gardening tasks. They will also provide support and guidance to help improve your gardening.

When can I start?

Your online course can start any time you like but will have periods of little or no activity at some parts of the year due to the nature of gardening. This means that you might not finish after the 3 or 6 month duration of you course, but will do once all goals are met.

As soon as you have signed up we will send you an e-mail and give you access to the student portal where you will find your first worksheets and other course material.

What does it cost?

The price of 3 month courses range from £45 - £90 whiles the price of 6 month courses are £80 - £150. 

The courses include online support from your assigned tutor for the duration of the course, plus access to all the resources for a whole year.
